About Password Generator
Mero Tool's Password Generator helps you create strong, secure passwords that are virtually impossible to guess or crack. In today's digital world, using unique, complex passwords for every account is one of the most effective ways to protect your personal data and financial information from hackers and cybercriminals.
Our tool lets you customize your password with various character types and security options — from 8 to 64 characters long, with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols, and exclusion filters. You can even embed a memorable keyword to make it easier to recall without sacrificing security.
Password Strength Explained
A strong password typically has all of the following qualities:
- Length: At least 12–16 characters (longer is always stronger)
- Complexity: A mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
- Uniqueness: No dictionary words, personal information, or sequential patterns
- Randomness: Generated randomly, not chosen by a human
Our real-time strength meter evaluates your password on these criteria and shows you a color-coded rating from Very Weak to Strong.
How the Keyword Feature Works
The keyword feature lets you embed a memorable word or phrase into your password. You can choose to have it appear at the start (e.g., Nepal@3X!kR9) or at a random position anywhere in the password. The keyword counts toward the total length, so a 16-character password with a 5-letter keyword will have 11 randomly generated characters added to it.
Exclusion Options
- Exclude similar characters (i, l, 1, o, 0): Prevents confusion when reading or typing the password manually, especially helpful on mobile devices.
- Exclude ambiguous characters ({ } [ ] / \ ' " ` ; : .): Avoids characters that some websites or systems reject in passwords, making your password universally usable.
Privacy & Security
All password generation runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. No data is ever transmitted to our servers — your passwords stay on your device at all times. We use Math.random()-based character selection with full randomness across all selected character sets, ensuring no predictable patterns.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes a password strong?
A strong password typically has: at least 12–16 characters, a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters, no personal information or common words, and no repeated or sequential characters. Our password generator creates passwords that meet all these criteria automatically.
How does the keyword feature work?
You can choose to either: Start with keyword — your keyword appears at the beginning of the password, or Include anywhere — your keyword is inserted at a random position. In both cases, the remaining characters are randomly generated based on your selected options. The keyword counts toward the total password length.
Are my generated passwords stored anywhere?
No. All password generation happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. We never send your passwords over the internet or store them on our servers. This ensures maximum security and privacy for your generated passwords.
Why should I exclude similar or ambiguous characters?
Excluding similar characters (like i, l, 1, o, 0) prevents confusion when reading or manually typing your password — especially on mobile devices where characters can look identical. Ambiguous characters (like { } [ ] / \ ' " ` ~ , ; : .) are sometimes rejected by certain websites or systems. Excluding them ensures your password works universally without any platform issues.
How often should I change my passwords?
Current security best practices recommend: change passwords immediately if you suspect compromise, change important passwords (like banking) every 3–6 months, use unique passwords for every account, and consider using a password manager to track them. Rather than frequent changes, focus on creating strong, unique passwords in the first place.
